Price the Matter Pack, not the hour.
One named scope carries one price. Licensed local counsel sets that price against the facts in the pack. Orbid coordinates the scope. It does not sell hours and it does not give legal advice.
What locks the number
- 01The instrument is named before hours start — NDA, distribution, supply, MSA, SaaS, reseller, or employment, plus any defined set sitting beside it.
- 02The corridor is named. A live corridor can deliver review now. A listed corridor accepts the scope; a lawyer standing by is not promised.
- 03Typical page count gives counsel a baseline. Bilingual drafts, destination-law control of your own standard terms, and a second language of negotiation move that baseline.
- 04Gaps stay written. A missing signatory or a missing language does not convert into silent hourly work.
- 05If the project changes, a change order states the new scope and the new price. Nothing proceeds until you approve it.
Questions
When do fees start?
After you approve the Matter Pack and its price. Scoping itself is not billed.
Who sets the number?
Licensed local counsel prices the review. Orbid scopes the facts they price against.
What if a second document appears after we start?
A change order or a second Matter Pack. A neighbour that was not named is not included.
